Best Newcomer 2017
In November 2017 I have received the international award for ‘Best Newcomer’ in lighting design. The ‘Best Newcomer’ has been announced at PLD-C 2017 in Paris.
Design competition The Future of Urban Lighting
UrbanSenses, a collaboration of C.Light.Wise with Maryam Aghajani – Element Licht Design, Alina Lavrinenko en Christin Petzold – Lightnotion, has won the 1st prize with their concept ‘Urban Light Ground’ in the international design competition ‘The Future of Urban Lighting’ which has been awarded at PLD-C 2017 in Paris
40 under 40
I am a nominated and listed candidate for 2017’s 40under40, an international programme to identify the most talented and promising individuals working in the lighting design industry.
40under40 is organised by ‘Lighting magazine’ in association with Osram.
The designers will receive their trophies before keynote speaker architect Daniel Libeskind at the prestigious Lighting Design Awards ceremony on Thursday 4 May at the London Hilton Park Lane.

Light Challenge 2015
Honored and very pleased to coach winning team ‘SpOt’ for the 2015 edition of the Light Challenge.
4 students Industrial Product Design of Windesheim Flevoland have created a lighting design for the ‘Markt’ in the city of Almere-Haven.

LEDmagazine has published an article, called ‘Licht is emotie’ (light is emotion) in their December issue of 2015.
The article is based on an interview regarding my vision on light and the value of lighting design in a multidisciplinary design process.
